Aqueous Cleaning Chemistries
Aqueous cleaning chemistries are available in a selection based on optimum performance with ultrasonic equipment. All too often chemistries are selected assuming all ultrasonic cavitation is the same without knowing that cavitation intensity can be greatly reduced by incorrect chemistry selection. Power Sonics conducts testing in our laboratory to evaluate chemistries for use in ultrasonic cleaning.
Optimizing chemistry is a key element in the proper development of application processes. A chemistry that cannot support good cavitation will not only reduce cleaning success but can actually increase operating costs beyond what is necessary.
- Biodegradable neutral and near neutral cleaners
- Aqueous inhibitors to impede forming of oxidation
- Mild alkaline and more aggressive caustics for soil cleaning
- Mild acids for oxide removal and moderate brightening
